Silk Stockings- Edited by Antonia Adams

I few months ago I was lucky enough to have received the whole  The secret library to review and Silk Stocking is the third book of the Secret Library I have read so far and I haven't been disappointed yet.

I love the idea of this new set of books that are velvet bound and beautifully designed so no one realises you are reading such erotica, no sideways glances on the train as people see the front page emblazoned with naked couples clearly in the throes of ecstasy; as you quickly try and hide the front cover with your hands to carry on reading the pages completely embarrassed.

Silk stockings has a lovely turquoise blue cover under the black velvet flock..

In Silk Stockings you have 3 novellas from our best erotic writers and this is no exception its another brilliant read.

Silk Stockings by Constance Munday

When Michael Levenstein meets Imogen, an exotic dancer at a Berlin nightclub, a passionate and intense love story develops.  Michael becomes obsessed by mysterious Imogen and falls into a world of intense sexual fantasy and desire. But Imogen is determined to protect a personal, dark secret at all costs and because of this she has forbidden herself love.
With Imogen afraid of committing and afraid of losing what she has fought for so desperately, can Michael break down her barriers and discover a solution to his lover’s deep dark secret, thus freeing the enigmatic Imogen to truly love him?

This was an unusual novella for me as it was a very passionate story about an extreme fetish of stockings; everything about them, the texture, deniere, colour, putting them on, rolling them off. Something I hadnt really considered to be an extreme fantasy. Constance brought Imogen to life in the fact she had spent her whole life being persued and admired by men..actually not her..but her amazing legs which were born to wear stockings; this had made her hardened to the world of sex and men.
At first I felt Imogen was being quite arrogant with the new man in her life expecting him to adore her legs and stockings;  as its all she has ever known I completely understood why she acted in this way.
Throughout the whole story Imogen lives for wearing stockings; silk ones and only the best and most luxurious. Michael Levenstein becomes obsessed with her and her sexy legs and genuinely wants to get to know her as a person, but she is quite guarded in the beginning just assuming he wants her for her legs.
I loved the way he gradually was able to break her down to relax and enjoy that someone loves her for not just her legs. It really is quite an intense plot and I didn't warm to her as I would l have liked . I found myself warming to Michael alot more than Imogen. All in all a good read that conveys the whole stocking fetish scene.

Constance Munday
Constance has always been an ardent bookworm and has had several interesting careers, she always wanted to be a writer though.  Her dream came true several years ago when she sacrificed everything, to plunge herself full time into writing.  She writes romance and romantic erotica under the name Constance Munday and pure erotica under the name Alcamia Payne.
Asked what her first love in writing is, she will always say hot romantic and passionate stories with an edge, but she also loves writing contemporary stories and historicals and is an avid science fiction and fantasy buff.
She hopes that her work will always be fresh and thought provoking and give the reader something to think about, as she says, ‘there’s nothing I won’t tackle and if I come up with a simple idea for a story whether it’s mainstream, gay, lesbian or fantasy - I’ll have a crack at it, even if it draws a bit of controversy.  I like to be continually writing and trying out new ideas and I always favour writing a story with a strong and passionate romance as its basis and with strong characters who are a bit different and able to accept their faults and use them.’
She loves giving talks about books and magic, is an ardent lover of nature and cats and enjoys ballet, Victorian costume, collecting books and travelling.  Pressed for longer stories she is currently working really hard on her third novel and a number of other projects and is delighted to be involved with the fabulous ‘Secret Library,’ collection.

The Lord of Summer – Jenna Bright
Banished to the back of beyond, in the middle of a long, hot summer, Gem and Dan Parker find their marriage filling up with secrets. As they work to reopen the Green Man pub, tensions and unacknowledged desires come between them. From their first night, when Gem sees someone watching them make love from the edge of the woods, her fantasies of having two men at once start to grow and consume her. As the temperature rises, she becomes fixated by her imaginings of an impossible, gorgeous, otherworldly man in the forest. A man who could make her dreams come true – and maybe save her marriage.

A fast paced easy read from another new author for me, I thoroughly enjoyed this novella from Jenna Bright. Gema and Dan Parker husband and wife team are assigned to a new pub in the middle of nowhere by their sleazy boss assuming they would hate it there.
They plan to make a complete new life at a new pub called the Green man, but as they begin renovations for its reopening they both start to feel super sexy and erotic desires begin to surface, Gema starts to think of her fantasy of having sex with 2 men and when she sees someone watching her and Dan having sex; she is completely turned on by this fact instead of feeling embarrassed; fuelling her latent desires.
Gema goes in search of this stranger which leads to more super hot scenes between her and a supernatural stranger, urban legend and finally together with her husband.
I warmed quickly to all three of them and I found Gema, Dan and this stranger all completely relatable and the sex realistic.  I loved the supernatural feel to this novella being a lover of magic and mystery I thoroughly enjoyed this story. The plot was an easy fast read with super hot believable scenes.

Author Bio
Born with an over-active imagination, Jenna learnt early to channel her flights of fancy into stories. Later, she discovered a talent for creating sensual worlds filled with sexy scenarios, libidinous lovers and very arousing outcomes. She hopes that you enjoy reading them as much as she enjoys writing them

Off The Shelf by Lucy Felthouse

At 35, travel writer Annalise is fed up with insensitive comments about being left on the shelf. It’s not as if she doesn’t want a man, but her busy career doesn’t leave her much time for relationships. Sexy liaisons with passing acquaintances give Annalise physical satisfaction, but she needs more than that. She wants a man who will satisfy her mind as well as her body. But where will she find someone like that? It seems Annalise may be in luck when a new member of staff starts working in the bookshop at the airport she regularly travels through. Damien appears to tick all the boxes; he’s gorgeous, funny and intelligent, and he shares Annalise’s love of books and travel.
The trouble is, Damien’s shy and Annalise is terrified of rejection. Can they overcome their fears and admit their feelings, or are they doomed to remain on the shelf?

I have read a few of Lucy's books now and found she has such an easy reading style, she really knows people and how they think its just the little things that make her characters come to life and this book was no exception.
The book has a great start with a sexy hot scene of Annalise playing with her favourite rabbit; a girl after my own heart.
Annalise a travel writer accidentally meets the fun lovable Damian in a book shop and they chat over muffins and coffee. Her Mum, family and friends assume she would be single forever and had given up trying to fix her up with guys, where she suffered continual embarrassment and humiliation from blind dates etc. She had dreamed of someone who liked her for her, not just her body.

I was completely comfortable with Annalise she was so relateable and I adored Damian as he was my kinda guy fun, friendly not too flirty a real gent; embarrassed about little things. Most of all funny he made me laugh.
I thoroughly enjoyed this fast easy flowing read and at only 65 pages is perfect to grab some "me" time with. This is an adorable romance that ends in a super passionate sex scene built from the sexual tension that had been building beautifully throughout the story. I found Annalise so likeable it felt like I was watching a best friend having a romance with someone I knew; they felt so familiar. Lucy really brings these two characters to life making them completely real in your imagination; she adds the little things that we all do to make them familiar to us on print.. er...ok pixels.
The ending was expected for me but so very steamy, it was such a great sex scene as it was completely natural as these two were completely made for each other;I loved this novella. A wonderful romance story, quite vanilla but oh so very natural and sexy; another great read from Lucy felthouse.

This was a fun read and I loved reading 2 stories from two new authors for me, this is what makes reading mixed books fun. All three stories are well written and super sexy and to the same standard as the other 2 Secret Library books I have read so far.
So we have extreme elegant fetish, supernatural and urban legend with the Green man and travel erotica all completely different types of story in 3 completely different settings, great editing Antonia.
